Co-founders Corinne Burns and Becky Bray started the band in 2011 after working together for years on other musical projects. Becky and Corinne wanted to create a band with a difference and a sound they were both passionate about. They worked hard to break the mould of a typical girl band and this is how 'The Morellas' was formed.
The Morellas also perform a set of covers suitable for high profile events, Birthday parties, Weddings and Themed nights! Having performed at The Taste of Christmas for The Jamie Oliver Foundation and at Kenny Logan's Christmas party, The Morellas can cater for any event big or small. They can also adapt their original or cover set to suit the clients needs within short notice.
All the ladies have a strong musical background ranging from stage school, tv, pop bands, musical theatre to acoustic work. Together they a bring a fresh look and sound to the industry. Also entertaining the crowd with their 'Andrew Sisters' style routines.
